Introducing our amazing team for Winter 2016!

What an amazing bunch of Snow Loving Nannies we have this season!
All our nannies are English Speaking, have enhanced police checks and 1st aid certificates.
We strive to match the most suitable nanny to your family to ensure their skills and experience create the most exciting and safe environment for your little ones.

Hello, I’m Jess. I can’t wait to come and work for Snow Little this winter. I love working with children and especially in such an amazing environment as the mountains. I have experience caring for and baby-sitting children from 6 months upwards. I’ve been working mostly to commission as a portrait/ Landscape painter for the last couple of years so I love to do all the arts and crafts and it’s great to see how children are so creative and original when it comes to art.

Hello there, my name is Natalie and I’m from Newcastle! I am a very enthusiastic and positive nanny with a passion for childcare and snow which is why I love working in the Alps! Last year was my first season and it sparked my love for the snow and I was so happy that I could combine this with my love for my career. I always ensure that the children within my care are having as much fun as physically possible in a safe, caring and happy environment! I have worked within childcare for 4 years now with all ages from 3 months to 12 years old, and I enjoy being able to plan and carry out new and exciting activities to suit different ages; I love to be active outdoors as well as being imaginative and creative indoors. I promise to ensure that your child has the best winter holiday possible!

Hello there, my name is Babet. I am 25 years old and have been playing in the snowy Alps since
I was three years old. This is my third season in the Alps, but my first season working as a nanny. After two seasons of working as a waitress, I found out that I enjoyed looking after my bosses kids more! I have been a nanny before back home, while I studied sociology and political science at Amsterdam University, in the Netherlands.
I enjoy being outdoors all year round. The winter is my favourite part of the year and I enjoy snowboarding as much as I like skiing. In the summer I work for a holiday company in the South- west of France, spending my spare time surfing, reading books and going for walks. In between seasons I like to go on road trips with our VW camper van.
Looking after kids from a very young age has given me a lot of experience with children of all types and ages. I am looking forward to a great season!

I am so excited to be spending my 2nd winter season in the Alps having been a visitor to Les Arcs for the last 6 years. I have most recently been working as a Recruiter at the BBC in London and
I am now looking to head to the snowy mountains for a winter of skiing and building snowmen! Helping to make holidays an enjoyable and unforgettable experience for the whole family through SnowLittle and being able to spend time with my brother and his wife and their baby girl is what I
am most looking forward to. Childcare is such a fulfilling choice of work for me as no two days are the same, I love encouraging creativity and most of all, having fun!

Hello, I’m Josie and I just graduated from Portsmouth University in Environmental Science. I’m really excited to be doing my first ski season as it’s something I have wanted to do since I started snowboarding! I first started working with children at my local dance school where I helped out with classes and also have experience child minding for a couple of families with children aged 2-7. When the opportunity arose to work with Snowlittle it seemed like the perfect way to spend my first season and I’m looking forward to making holidays a fun and unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Hi, I’m Lucy. I am so excited to be spending my first season in the French Alps, Les Arcs. I grew up in the snow as a kid and have such a passion for skiing and getting involved. I haven’t spent a long period of time in the snow for some time as I have currently been traveling through Europe, the UK and America for the past two years. I love to ski, I have previously only snow boarded a few times but would love to spend more time boarding. I have such a passion for kids and I absolutely love working with them and just watching them grow. I cannot wait to get on board and make fabulous memories with them and everyone else, and just simply have so much fun.

Hi my name is Jaye.
I have a level 3 diploma in childcare and education. My entire career has been spent caring for children in both nurseries and as a private nanny for families.

I have recently made a permanent move to the French Alps and I am currently living in Montvalezan. After completing a couple of winter seasons for Mark Warner I decided this is
where I want to live and I can’t see myself living anywhere else now! I have 10 years of childcare experience, so it’s fair to say I love working with kids. I really enjoy packing their holiday with loads of fun things such as: sledging/bum boarding, taking them out for a traditional French crepe and crafty things like making snow flakes and Christmas decorations.
I think it’s important to make your children’s holiday as special as possible, so I like to get outside and play in the snow everyday and try to do activities that they wouldn’t normally do at home. Working for Mark Warner holidays for two seasons has really helped me in planning fun days for your children but I also like to give the children a choice of what they want to do because it is their holiday after all!

“Hi! I’m Millie, I’m 21 years old and from Essex, UK.
I am a friendly, reliable and caring person with a lot of ambition and a down-to-earth personality. I have 7 years of childcare experience and have also worked as a Waitress and in Catering, and most recently as an Emergency Call Handler for the Ambulance Service here in the UK.

This is my second season with SnowLittle and I can’t wait to be working in the alps again!
I love the outdoors and am keen to improve my snowboarding and carry on learning French. I thoroughly enjoy working with kids and can ensure that they will be happy, entertained and safe with me at all times. I am really looking forward to my experience this winter, working in a job that I love! “

My first experience working with children started as a Science Teacher in primary schools delivering extra curricular activities for children aged 7 to 12 years old. It found it very rewarding working so I knew I would always wanted to work with children. I love spending my time with the children playing in the snow, sledging and seeing them happy and enjoying their holiday.
I consider myself a responsible, friendly and caring person who loves working with people especially with children.
After living 4 years in UK, I decided to experience something different and I moved to the French Alps where for the last 4 years I have been working as a nanny in the resorts throughout Paradiski and Espace Killy.

Hi! This is my third Season in the Alps. I have been here on holiday many times and can’t think of a better playground for children, than here. I love the snow and all the fun activities it brings, this coupled with a child’s imagination is why I love being a Nanny.

The mountains have been part of my winter life for many years now after swapping life as a city lawyer to pursue a more natural lifestyle. Passionately promoting balance in our approach to life, our challenges and opportunities. I have been teaching the tools to lead a balanced life through yoga and other centering practices since 2008. Working with children in yoga play (toddlers and upwards) is possibly the best job in the world. Exploring creative expression, movement and singing through imaginative adventures in nature.
I love the mountains, skiing, snowboarding and the freedom that comes with exploring in the alpine nature - offering childcare for families on their snow holidays is a wonderful opportunity for me to support you in your adventures so you can embrace your holiday with peace of mind that the little ones are being well cared for and experiencing as much fun as you are.

That's all folks!

Well here we are again. How is it that the winter flashes by so quickly?! Spring is in full bloom and the skies are sunny and blue. Mountain conditions have still been good, providing lots of opportunities for enjoying the slush with a surprising amount of snow still evident on the pistes.

This month, the town of Bourg St Maurice was alive with the ringing of cow bells as the annual cow beauty pageant took place on April 12.. (No, we're not kidding!) Every year the community judges the best looking cows from the 'Tarine' or 'Abondance' breeds at La Comice Agricole. The aim of the show is to promote these two breeds, educate the public on the work of the agricultural community and the preservation of local landscapes and of course to showcase the delicious Beaufort cheese!

As the winter season is nearing an end, the nannies also enjoyed some well earned play time of their own, enjoying a lovely sushi dinner in Les Arcs followed by a few drinks.

We're looking forward to having some of the team back again next year, no doubt joined by some fresh faces for winter 2015/16. Well done girls for all your hard work!

With some of the resorts closing tomorrow, we're looking back on what has been a truly fantastic winter. We've had such a fab team on board and the feedback has been wonderful. We're so grateful to everyone that chose SnowLittle as their childcare service provider and we hope to see you again next winter!

It's beginning to look a lot like Easter..

What a wonderful few weeks we've had in resort!

There's been plenty of blue skies and sunshine and now we're finally seeing some more snow coming through. Perfect timing for all those families heading to resort this Easter break! Here's a few pics from our fab nanny Charlotte who's been looking after these two cheeky monkeys in Les Arcs 1950 this week. They've had a brilliant time!

We were also treated to the rare event of the solar eclipse this month. It was amazing to watch and a couple of us hiked high into the hills to witness it in all it's glory over the snowy mountains of Les Arcs and the Tarentaise valley. Our efforts didn't go unrewarded as we witnessed a strange darkness and eerie quietness momentarily creep over the mountains before finally allowing the glorious sunshine to make its way back out again. It was quite an experience!

In Tignes, the SFR freestyle tour came to town and didn't disappoint, with the Canadians reigning triumphant in both the mens and the women's half pipe finals. La Plagne Local Kevin Rolland came in fourth shifting him into third in the general rankings of the halfpipe world cup. Catch all of the results and some of the action here.

Well we better get back to the slopes and enjoy the fresh snow conditions. We want to wish everyone a fantastic Easter break in the snow and we'll be blogging again in no time about all of the great stuff the nannies have been up to in resort over the holidays.

The nannies were certainly working hard and we've been getting some truly fab feedback to show what a super team we're lucky to have for SnowLittle this winter! Here are just a few snaps and just some of the great comments received so far..

Let it snow!

Well as February rolls in and all the little ones are no doubt getting very excited for their snowy half term holidays, our nannies are raring to go!

There’s been a lot of snowfall over the last few weeks in the whole of the French Alps and the piste conditions couldn’t be better. The nannies have been profiting from the sunshine and getting out and about with the little ones, organising all sorts of great activities including climbing, sledging, and of course after all that fun time.. well deserved nap time!

Around the resorts we’ve seen the pros do what their best at. In Les Arcs the RedBull Linecatcher taking place in top notch conditions. Check out some of the action here!

Tignes is gearing up for the SFR Freestyle Tour this March which promises to be an all out display of fantastic European ski and snowboarding freestyle talent and in Sainte Foy, the Freeride World Tour Qualifier, has been postponed to March but also promises to bring some exciting big mountain action

Until then, we’re restocking our nanny packs and getting ready for the half term fun times. If you’re panicking about the crowds then check out this article from the Daily Telegraph for some handy hints on how to survive the half term holidays on the hill!

See you soon!

Christmas chaos and New Year sunshine

A very happy new year from all of the SnowLittle team! We hope that everyone enjoyed the festive period and what better way to crack on with 2015 than hitting the slopes and getting in some well earned R and R with family and friends!

Although the Christmas period didn't get off to too great a start with one of the most chaotic transfer days on record (with 15,000 cars stranded overnight in the Savoie region due to heavy traffic combined with heavy snowfall) we were all grateful after everyone arrived safe and sound to see the resorts had finally been coated in a lovely blanket of the white stuff.

Our nannies have all been working hard on placement with their families over the holidays and it seems like all of their hard work has not gone unnoticed! Here's just some of the great feedback that we've received so far:

“Amy is a Fantastic nanny. My children wanted to take her home. Organised, on time, planned with activities, variety for the children, flexible, friendly, warm”

“Sheryl and Jenni. They have been brilliant. Kind helpful and the kids have enjoyed being with them. I would highly recommend them both.”

There has been plenty of fun in the snow and the sun this last week, with the nannies getting inventive with heaps of indoor and outdoor activities.

And finally a new year and a new start for child yoga sessions, set up by the lovely Rebecca Black. Rebecca's fabulous idea 'Little Bliss Yoga' involves her coming to your chalet and teaching your little ones (3 yrs plus) yoga in fun and exciting ways! Who says only adults can benefit from the joys of yoga! Check out her Facebook page or use the details below to contact Rebecca.

Well we'll be back in a couple of weeks with more news and updates of happenings from the snowy slopes! See you soon!
